Hi, I’m Alina

Looking back, I think I struggled with digestive issues my whole life. I tried all the diets and cleanses: detox, raw, vegan, vegetarian, anti-Candida, and on and on. Yet my symptoms continued, grew and got worse. I had acne, eczema and a growing list of allergies and food intolerances. It got to the point where every bite of food felt like broken glass moving through my body. Something had to change.

I went back to school, and got one of the only accredited Herbal Science degrees in the U.S. I continued on to get a master’s degree in Nutrition and Integrative Health. I applied what I learned to myself. I started to feel and look better. I have experienced firsthand the power of nutrition, plant medicine and integrative health in gut and skin healing, and I want to share what I’ve learned with you.

My Approach

With the constant barrage of confusing and often conflicting health information we all face, it can be incredibly difficult to sort through the noise, come up with a health plan, and enact it in our daily lives. Seeing real improvement in diet-related skin signs and symptoms can take time and consistency, but we’re all busy, right? It’s easy to lose track and move on to the next thing. That’s where a certified nutritionist comes in. We listen to your needs, work with your lifestyle and help you come up with a workable, measurable plan to meet your health goals. Regular follow-ups provide accountability, progress-tracking and a step-by-step process that allows for sustainable change.

Evidence-based

A board-certified nutritionist with an advanced degree can understand and critically appraise scientific literature. I’ve taken years of anatomy and physiology, biochemistry, research literacy and other rigorously-scientific classes that allow me to base my practice in the most up-to-date and relevant information, and share it with you in a way makes sense and is applicable to your health.

Personalized

Personalized nutrition is about realizing that a one-size-fits-all approach doesn’t work for your unique health history, genetics, environment, preferences and goals. It’s based on your specific biology, not generalizations or the latest health fads. Dietary change is about more than information, it’s about behavior change, and the best dietary advice is useless if it doesn’t work for your life and needs. I start by learning about you, figuring out what will work, and making a plan to meet your goals.
